A special turtle, a pink cake and improvisation

School has finally started, at first I didn’t receive all the assignment for all the lessons so I was a little behind. Since I am in a different time zone, I need to do the homework either in the late afternoon or in the morning.

We are currently still in the turtle bay, recently a turtle who lost his all his flippers on one side came to shore and was having a hard time to get to the water. Specialists helped them into the water, but it didn’t wasn’t to leave and came back. Now they keep him in a small pool and feed him and are making a new flipper with a 3D printer for it.

We also met this family who has a dog who lives on their boat. The dog’s name is Rosie and used to be stray dog, who lived on a construction site. They then took care of her and now is a very domesticated dog. They also have a daughter, who just turned nine. My little brother made really good friends with her and even got her a necklace for her birthday. She had a huge mean pink cake and the slices were so big it almost made feel sick.

Another storm blew over, but now it was not something that scares me as much, but still something that alerts me. Since there was lightning all electronics were put away in to the oven, so we improvised and played table tennis. We used frying pans as racquets and used the tissue box and other thing as the net. We for a while and always changed to different racquets for example books, shoes and other things.

Playing table tennis on a tiny table with frying pans or passing around books that we read really seemed to give us a new environment and it is the closest we have ever gotten, since my dad has always been on business trips. The time on the boat is flying and I really hope we enjoy every day on the boat or anywhere.
