Suddenly everything on our boat was breaking. The windows were leaking, our rudder was not aligned, the air in was still not fixed and there was another leak in the engine room. The floorboards of the boat needed to be opened so we could reach the pipes.
My mum wasn’t happy about this so my dad told her that we should go the Penang and he would stay there wait for the mechanic and fix up the boat. At first I felt very bad for leaving him with all the problems, but my mum had a point. It was almost impossible to walk around and we had to couldn’t go out as a family for too long leaving the boat unattended. I have very little understanding of the electrical engineering of the boat and we didn’t know how to fix the problem or where they came from.
We flew to Penang and stayed at one of the crew members we recently traveled with. With them we drove around Penang. I was not very fond of the road or the driving though. We saw a small, not very attractive beach a huge garden and a event where a big amount of expensive cars were showcased. I played with my mum tennis and went swimming with my brother in the pool. Then we went to George Town and looked for street art, which look really nice and was spread around the town.
Then it was time to go back. We had to take a flight where the entire flight was full of turbulence. UGH I felt so sick! When we arrived we all had dinner with some other people at the marina. The next day we all cleaned up the entire boat. Dad told us, while we were gone that he got a piece of plastic that got stuck in the pipe, meaning we have air conditioning again and the leak came from the rudder, being slightly out of place. The windows are still not fixed, but that won’t be a problem, till the next time it rains :-P.
