We stayed in Palau Redang a little longer, playing beach tennis, swimming and visiting the baby turtle nursery called Seetru. They protect the eggs from natural enemies like lizards and birds. Then hatch the eggs in a room of 28 degrees. Every week they then let the newly born turtles go on the beach so they can live wildly.
One night a storm with over 40 knots of wind ripped the blades out of our wind generator. It was one of the more scary nights we experienced . So the next day we returned to Terangganu. On our way the waves were very calm and the weather was very good. We saw flying fish on the way too. It was so perfect is was almost boring. At the harbor we met a few other people one of them had a broken boat, because it was struck by lightning and all the electronics were fried.
When we arrived, we decided to stay in a hotel, because the air conditioning was still broken and the marina didn’t have much wind. The hotel is filled with all kinds of insects and some are bigger than my thumb! The WiFi is extremely slow, but what matters is the working air conditioning. As the mechanic is only going to arrive Tuesday, we were thinking on leaving this place and going back to Palau Redang, because there is more to do there than here.
(Btw. to clear confusion the German blog is the blog made by my younger brother, Michael. He will be writing in German and about similar things he will experience.)
